St. William’s Living Center COVID-19 Situation Update October 16, 2020

Dear St. William’s Living Center and McCornell Court Residents, Friends, and Families:

Last week we had our first confirmed case of COVID-19 in staff person.  We tested all residents and staff on October 12th and 13th and we unfortunately had two addition staff test positive for COVID-19.  The two staff that tested positive this week had not been exposed to the staff that tested positive last week.  No residents tested positive for the virus.

We currently have two active staff cases and no active resident cases of COVID-19.

We will continue to test all staff and residents weekly until we have had no new cases for 14 days in a row.  To resume indoor visits, we must have no new COVID-19 cases for at least 14 days and two rounds of negative tests for all staff and residents.

The following resident activities will resume Monday, October 19th:

  • Socially Distanced Resident Activities
  • Communal Dinning
  • Outdoor Visits
  • Expanded Compassionate Care Visits

We encourage loved ones to communicate with our residents by phone or video chat, if possible.  You may call our activity department at 218-338-1010 to set up a time to schedule a video meeting or outdoor visit with a resident.

The Minnesota Department of Health has set up a free hotline for anyone who has questions about Coronavirus (COVID-19).  Call the MDH hotline at: 1-651-201-3920. We will continue to provide updates to you to keep you informed of our ongoing work. Help us keep family and loved ones informed by visiting our website: https://www.stwilliamslivingcenter.com/.
