Dear St. William’s Living Center and McCornell Court Residents, Friends, and Families:
We recently received notification of four new cases of COVID-19. Two cases were in nursing home staff, one case was in a nursing home resident, and one case was in a McCornell Court assisted living resident.
I want to thank our dedicated staff who are working tirelessly to take care of our residents. Many staff have picked up extra shifts, stayed late, or come in early to fill in the gaps for the staff that are out sick. We are in daily communication with the Minnesota Department of Health and are following all recommended guidance to keep residents safe. We will continue to test staff and residents frequently, to prevent the virus from spreading within our facility.
- St. William’s Living Center: six active staff cases, one active resident case
- McCornell Court Assisted Living: one active staff case, and one active resident case.
If a resident receives a positive result for COVID-19, we will contact family or a resident’s responsible person immediately to let them know about the positive result. We also notify a resident’s family if a resident is exposed to a staff person that has tested positive for COVID-19.
The Minnesota Department of Health has set up a free hotline for anyone who has questions about Coronavirus (COVID-19). Call the MDH hotline at: 1-651-201-3920. We will continue to provide updates to you to keep you informed of our ongoing work.
Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at: Tim Kelly, Administrator at 218-338-1001; Lori Roers, Director of Nursing at 218-338-1009.
