Meet Claudia -Mental Health Professional
Claudia began April 16, 2017 as a Mental Health Professional and ARMHS Director for the Mental Health Program at St. William’s Living Center. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work in 1972 and a Master’s of Social Work in 1980. Claudia has provided psychotherapy for the past 34 years, including at Northern Pines MHC for 18 years and Lakeland MHC for 16 years.
Claudia and her husband live in a century family farm in rural Parkers Prairie while her husband is a beef/crop farm operator in the area. They share 2 adult children who live in Minnesota. Claudia enjoys traveling, being with family, home-improvement projects, and gardening.
Claudia has been certified to work with children under age 5 and provides mental health services to all ages, including children, teenagers, young adults, the adult population, and seniors. She provides individual, marital and family therapy and has offices in Parkers Prairie, as well as in Alexandria. Claudia also specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Response) for PTSD victims, DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), Mindfulness and Relaxation Therapy, Trauma Therapy, Self-Compassion, Hypnotherapy, Individuation, Boundary Setting, Communication Skills, Problem-Solving, Goal Setting, etc. Primarily, she sees clients who struggle with depression, anxiety, mood lability, adjustment problems, those who have had a traumatic past history, victimization from abuse, severe mental illness, etc.
